A recently launched pilot project between U of T, Ryerson, Sunlife Financial and the Toronto Public Library affords U of T and Ryerson students over the age of 18 access to many museums, galleries and historic sites around Toronto. The Sunlife Financial Museum and Arts Pass, or MAP for short, gives free admission to two individuals to either the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Bata Shoe Museum, City of Toronto Historic Sites or the Textile Museum of Canada, which are participating MAP venues, until April 30th. The pass works in conjunction with the Toronto Public Library and are only distributed to those with a valid Toronto Public Library card. Students can pick up their passes and pass booklet at Ryerson or at any one of the six U of T libraries until Jan. 31, 2017 or until quantities run out. The passes then have to be brought to one of the following participating Toronto Public Library branches (City Hall, Lillian H. Smith, Parliament Street, Scarborough Civic Centre, Toronto Reference Library) to be activated.
