Candidates pull out of mayoral race

Both Rob Ford and David Soknacki have pulled out of the Toronto mayoral race. Ford quit the elections due to medi­cal issues, paving the way for his brother Doug Ford to run in his place. Soknacki, the former Toronto budget chief released a statement on Sept. 9, acknowledging he had the support of too few and it would not result in “any positive difference to the outcome on Election Day”. “relay” at the DMG

The first exhibition of the school year featured at the Doris McCarthy Gallery is Lois Andison’s “relay”. The project is an accumulation of 15 years of work and ties in the concept of motion with wordplay and language. The display at the DMG is one of three distinct exhibition featured around the GTA. Red and Blue Bowl

The first annual game for the Red and Blue Bowl between University of Toronto and York University took place on Sept. 13 at the Varsity Stadium. The Varsity Blues beat their cross-town rivals the York Lions 70-0. 198 Rocket

Sept. 2 saw the launch of the 198 UofT Scarborough Rocket bus service between Kennedy Station and UTSC. It replaced the 116E Morningside bus. Students have showed a positive response to the services and the 198 Rocket is now a frequently used bus. It stops at all major intersections and runs every 10 minutes during the day and 15 minutes in the evenings.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
