The San Francisco Giants defeated the Kansas City Royals by one run in Game 7 of the World Series to claim their third league title in five years. The Giants dominated in the MLB playoffs, with the help from their 25-year-old pitcher Madison “Mad Bum” Bumgarner.
Game 7 of the World Series took place on Oct. 29 in Kansas City, Missouri. Since the Royals and Giants had each taken three games in the World Series, Game 7 was anybody’s game. It was a really close game, but Madison Bumgarner pitched very well against the Royals. His performance in game 7 was just as stellar as his shutout in game 5.
The Giants took the 2014 World Series with a 3-2 win against the Kansas City Royals. It was a really great World Series, as both teams played great. Madison Bumgarner was deservedly named the 2014 World Series MVP. Nevertheless, Hunter Pierce and Pablo “The Panda” Sandoval were both indispensable parts of the Giants lineup.
The San Francisco Giants have now won the 2010, 2012 and 2014 World Series. The Giants are a very strong team that will continue to dominate in the MLB. The team’s success speaks for itself. The players, the management team, the coaches and the fans all contribute to making the Giants one of the best teams in Major League Baseball.
